FLUX · PROTOCOL
PROTOCOL
FLUX is an open way to photograph and publish your life in the order it happens. No portfolio, no feed, no perfect frames — a practice you repeat.
You cannot make the same photograph twice.
01 · THE STEPSthe goal is not perfection — it is continuous seeing
- 01CAPTUREWalk. Photograph what is in front of you. Any camera.
- 02SELECTChoose quickly, from small frames. Don’t hunt for the perfect one.
- 03SEQUENCEKeep the order they were made. The order is the structure.
- 04GENERATEFLUX lays out the publication for you. No design needed.
- 05PRINTAny office printer. Fold, staple. Cheap is fine.
- 06ARCHIVEKeep every issue, in order, numbered for good.
- 07REPEATMove on. Go back out.
02 · THE RULESonly four
- IN ORDERPhotographs appear in the order they were made. Never rearranged.
- ONE ROLLOne FLUX issue is one roll of film: 36 photographs, or 24. The limit is the structure.
- PERMANENT NUMBERSIssue and frame numbers are never reused or changed.
- NOTHING HIDDENDate, time and place stay with each photograph.
Up to you: the camera, the subject, the title, how often. Black and white is the FLUX look; color is allowed.
Shoot. Sequence. Publish.
Move on.
